(West 10th and Waverly) Té Company is the most delightful tea shop you ever did see. Owners Fred and Elena are friendly and thoughtful local business owners. Elena provides directly sourced teas from around the world and even provide tastings upon request. Fred will dazzle you with cookies, cakes and sometimes savory snacks, if he's feeling generous.

Jack's Stir Brew (West 10th Street near Waverly Place) - a tiny but busy spot with various locations around town. I go for their Happy Jack, a honey cinnamon latte.

Prodigy Coffee (Carmine and Bleecker Streets) - a bit quieter coffee shop with more space to sit and do work (or catch up with a friend).

Joe Art of Coffee (Gay Street and Waverly Place) - very popular most any day of the week, with a great offering of baked goods to go with your coffee. Try their cold brew in the summer.
