Westville (on West 10th Street or on Hudson Street - Hudson location is bigger) - large menu of basic proteins and daily market vegetables. The salads are big enough to last you two days! I like the arugula and pear salad with grilled chicken and avocado, the turkey burger, and the mac and cheese
Ready-To-Eat (Hudson near West 10th) – our go-to for takeout meat-and-sides. About a dozen different protein options and a wide variety of fresh veggies to mix and match.
Delivery Only! Started by David Chang (of Momofuku fame) - an evolving-daily menu of both meat and vegetable-based proteins and sides, delivered usually within 30 minutes. Download the app. We use this multiple times a week and love it.
Dig Inn (Hudson near King Street) - cafeteria-style chain serving local, fresh meats and veggies. Build-your-own plate with proteins and interesting sides, as well as seasonal salads.
Sushi Miyabi (West 3rd Street near 6th Avenue) – very casual and inexpensive, we only have for delivery. We like the Amazing Yellowtail Roll and the White Seaweed Special Roll.
Masala Times (Bleecker Street near 6th Avenue) – A bright, Bollywood-themed hole in the wall usually filled with Indian students from NYU. Super authentic food. Must order chicken tikka masala box.
Grey Dog (Carmine and Bedford) – casual neighborhood spot with a huge menu, ranging from omelets to seared tuna tacos to overstuffed sandwiches. My favorite is the smoked salmon and arugula salad, served with poached eggs and avocado.
