Big Gay Ice Cream (Grove Street and 7th Avenue) - It all started on a tricked-out ice cream truck until demand pushed them to open spots in the east and west villages. The Salty Pimp drizzles dulce de leche syrup over vanilla soft serve with sea salt and chocolate dip. My favorite is bourbon butterscotch and spicy chocolate sauce over vanilla soft serve or their specials, which include pumpkin or egg nog soft serve.

Cones (Bleecker Street at Morton Street) – suspicious storefront that is filled with all handmade ice creams. A spot that's been around forever despite the huge surge in dessert places along Bleecker Street.
