(Hudson Street near Charles Street) - 2nd City is a super-casual, super punny and super delicious Filipino restaurant. Their poke bowl is perfect and generously portioned. If you're feeling more land-animals, their fried chicken sliders and pork buns are also delicious. Don't miss the Calamansi cocktail: essentially a Filipino margarita with quite the booze kick.
Noodle Bar (Carmine Street near Bleecker Street) – Tiny and cash-only, pan-Asian street food perfection. We love the coconut shrimp noodles and the chicken mee goreng.
Saigon Shack (MacDougal Street near Minetta Lane) - tiny, cash-only Vietnamese fare. Famous for their banh mi sandwiches and pho, but I love the vegetarian vermicelli dish, which is made of delectable fried tofu bits. It gets very crowded, so I encourage you take it to go and save the wait time.
Masala Times (Bleecker Street near 6th Avenue) – A bright, Bollywood-themed hole in the wall usually filled with Indian students from NYU. Super authentic food. Must order chicken tikka masala box.
Pot-Jan-ee (Carmine Street and Bedford Street) - our go-to for Thai delivery. Green curry and pad-see-ew are both great.
